Elevation Secondary College, formerly known as Craigieburn South Secondary School, opened its doors to 140 students providing access to state-of-the-art educational facilities.

The first stage of the $24 million construction includes a building for specialist subjects, learning community, administration building and hard courts. The school will accommodate 1,200 students to assist in alleviating enrolment pressures for surrounding schools and to meet the demand of the growing population in Aston, Victoria.

The college aspires to be known as a school of academic excellence, orderly learning environments, inclusiveness and the outstanding opportunities it provides its students and focusing on improving student learning and social wellbeing outcomes. To complete the final stage, the school received $25.83 million funding to complete construction of new learning neighbourhoods, as well as a gymnasium and specialist performing arts, and sports hard courts.

Galvin Specialised was selected to assist in the design and supply of taps and gas laboratory tapware due to our comprehensive experience in the education sector combined with our passion for providing water solutions for a healthier environment. Our team was further able to offer ongoing assistance to plumbing contractors to ensure correct installation and operation of its products.

The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) has changed its Building Quality Standards Handbook requiring plumbing products and fittings to be ‘Lead Free’ or ‘Safe’ to improve water quality outcomes.

Stainless steel options for taps and drinking bubblers eliminates the risk of lead reaching the water which protects children’s teeth through its AS 4020 approved rubber mouthguard. Our product is made from EPDM material with high UV and fungal and bacterial attack resistance increasing its longevity in high wear outdoor
environments.
