Paul, Chris, and Tim Galvin are announcing that they have made the decision to let go of the sand-casting section of our factory. Our last pour is currently scheduled for the middle of December.
Although this has been a very difficult decision for us, it has been made so we can better focus on our core, which is the design and manufacture of safe, green, and smart water solutions for high risk and high care environments.
It is important to note that while we will no longer be doing castings inhouse, we will continue to service our customers by sourcing castings through our network of world class foundries who we have partnered with over many years and by providing all other manufacturing services.
All other sections of our production facility will continue to operate at full steam ahead. We will be investing further into our key factory areas, including CNC and manual machining, brazing, polishing, assembly, testing, and R&D. We will also continue to grow our technical, sales and warehousing teams in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth, and build our export markets in USA, UK, NZ, and Singapore.
The welfare of our team is paramount to us, so the utmost care will be taken of our people during this process. We will ensure all affected staff are either employed in other areas of our operations or supported to find new jobs with other excellent WA companies.
We believe that by dedicating more resources and time to our core purpose, we can continue to thrive as industry leaders in providing Water Solutions for Healthier Environments in health, education, aged care, and corrections, for decades to come.
The three of us are very proud and thankful of what the entire team has helped us build over the last 90 years, and we look forward to a very bright future for Galvin Engineering.
Best regards,
Paul, Chris & Tim Galvin
